Melting Tension Yoga Nidra
“Melting Tension” guides the mind through various focal points to help you unwind stress from the mind and body. There is a variation below with NO body scan/ rotation of consciousness to suit varying needs.
Try to welcome whatever happens. Some days letting go is really hard, but I always benefit from the practice. Being as comfortable as possible makes it easier to relax, read my tips in this post: Find Comfort in Yoga Nidra.
Meditation Elements
There are periods of breath awareness, a body scan/ rotation of consciousness (and an option below with NO body scan), feeling sensations of warm and cool, and feeling the sensations of releasing tension from mind and body, feeling love and happiness, and sending happiness into the world.
For intention setting, I’ve suggested allowing yourself to rest. You can choose your own phrasing, or a completely different intention if you prefer.
Variation with NO Body Scan
This variation has no body scan and ends with a suggestion to rest and sleep for as long as you need.
