About Radiant Being
I have often felt overwhelmed and a little beat up by life.
When a friend sent photos of us at about age 16, I was struck by how radiant we looked. I thought, yes, that’s what I’ve been working toward, for myself and others. To feel radiant, to feel connected, and to know that what I set my mind to I can create.
That really is my goal here, for us all to feel radiant, relaxed, empowered, strong, connected, self-confident, and capable of Creating Lives we Love here and now.
Calming the Nervous System, I believe, is key in feeling our best, strengthening our wellbeing, and building our dreams. When we are able to deeply relax we enter a more optimal state for healing and growing, our minds become more creative and open to new beliefs and habits. And when we are relaxed happiness begins to blossom.
The challenge is that true relaxation, like sleep, is not always easy. I grew up in a house filled with anxiety, stress, and tense bodies. It often feels as though stressed and tense is my natural state, and as I persist along this path I continue to find new ways to release stress and deepen my level of happiness. Yoga Nidra guided meditation has been one of easiest ways I have found to truly relax. It is often a wonderfully delicious experience of deep rest and conscious dreaming.
Yoga Nidra is the foundation of what I plan to offer here. It is a powerful practice for unraveling stress, calming the nervous system, and planting new seeds of who you wish to be and what you wish to create in your life. Yoga Nidra guided meditation is accessible to a wide range of people, all you need to do is listen.
Sankalpa, a resolve or intention, is a traditional part of Yoga Nidra. While I often leave this out of relaxing Yoga Nidras, I think this platform lends itself well to the exploration and practice of Resolve, our intentions for our lives.
Through relaxation, we more easily uncover our heartfelt felt intentions, the ones that bring real meaning and joy into our lives. From there we can create visualizations, affirmations, vision boards, set goals, and take actions that align with our spirits, and that nurture wellbeing and happiness.
Through Yoga Nidra, Visualization, Journaling, Affirmations, and other practices, we will work on:
Relaxing/ calming the Nervous System
Grounding/ creating safety within
Resolve/ Intention setting
Empowering Beliefs & Behaviors
Joy
Awareness
Wellbeing
Connection
Vision Creation
Self-Love
Inner Strength & Wisdom
Shifting Energy
Goals
I have a basic plan in mind for how this will flow and evolve over the next few years, and I’m looking forward to hearing what others want to focus on and seeing how this all unfolds.
Love, Christie
